<br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Notice is hereby given that an application for partial Phase III Liability Release of mining permit <br />number C-81-012 for Picketwire Processing, LLC's New Elk Mine in Las Animas County, <br />Colorado has been filed with the Division of Minerals and Geology of the Colorado Department <br />of Natural Resources. All areas requested for release are above underground workings. <br />Picketwire Processing is the applicant and its business address is 4643 South Ulster Street, Suite <br />1270, Denver, CO 80237. <br />The mine site is located 30 miles west of Trinidad. The legal description of the property includes: <br />Portions of Sections 13, 14, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 34, 35, and 36 of T33S, R68W <br />Sections 1 and 2 of T34S, R68W <br />Sections 30 and 31 of T33S, R 67E <br />Section 6 of T34S, R67E <br />All lands listed may be located on the USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle named Vigil. Picketwire is <br />requesting Phase III release on 3,233 acres of land above the underground mine workings. <br />A copy of the application for liability reduction is available for public inspection at the Las Animas <br />County Recorder's Office, Las Animas County Courthouse, Trinidad, Colorado. Written <br />comments, objections or request for informal conferences on the application must be submitted <br />to Division of Minerals and Geology of the Colorado Department of Namral Resources, 215 <br />Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303)866-3567. <br />
