Lochhead
Execuvve Dueciar
Michael B. Long
Division Duecmr
I have reviewed the surface water aspects of the above-referenced technical revision. The initial
review indicated that the triangular ditch portion of the Guard Shack Ditch was not designed to
incorporate the required 0.3 feet vertical freeboard. Mr. Balaz was contacted with this concern,
and he provided a revised plan, which incorporates a 25 inch berm to accommodate the
requirement.
The surface water aspects of this proposal are adequate with the submittal of the diagram and
cover letter dated July 21, 1998, received in Denver on July 24, 1998.
You may want to advise the operator that the provided designs are approved with the
understanding that the operator must ensure that the designs are implemented to perform in the
field to contain all disturbed area flow from the ]0 year, 24 hour storm event.
M~.~o:533rcUC6dabmo
.~.,
