Box 21588 <br /> Denver, Colorado 80221-2425 <br /> RE: Deepe Pit, Conditional Revision Approval , Permit No. M-81 -302, <br /> Revision No. AM-01 <br /> Dear Mr. Graham: <br /> On November 15, 1989 the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board conditionally <br /> approved the amendment application submitted to the Division on May 1 , 1989, <br /> addressing the addition of 26.2 acres, The terms of the revision approved by <br /> the Board are hereby incorporated into Permit No. M-81-302. <br /> The conditions of the Board approval are noted below. Please note that all <br /> other provisions of Permit No. M-81-302 remain in full force and effect. <br /> 1 . The operator will not commence mining operations in the new <br /> amendment area until it submits to the Division for approval a <br /> hydrologic survey demonstrating that pit dewatering will not <br /> adversely affect the quality or quantity of water in adjacent water <br /> resources and wells. <br /> 2. The operator will not commence mining operations in the new <br /> amendment area until it submits, has approved, and implements a <br /> groundwater monitoring program designed to detect adverse <br /> disturbances to the prevailing hydrologic balance of the affected <br /> land and of the surrounding area and to the quality and quantity of <br /> water in surface-water and ground-water systems both during and <br /> after the mining operation and during reclamation. <br /> 3. The operator will not commence mining operations in the new <br /> amendment area until it submits to the Division copies of all <br /> agreements between the operator and the owners of all relocated <br /> irrigation ditches. <br /> The amount of financial warranty increase set by the Board for the new <br /> amendment area is $51 ,114.
