_ APR-06-1999 14:33 SRNDCO~ INC.
(C011't)
J
P.03
minting operations, asphalt plants, concrete plants, mosquito
cons;rol facilities, etc. In order for Sandco to change their
COMA-IND designation with the county, we would have to go through
the public process. Sandco would like the Board to recognize the
needlessness and redundancy of DMG's requirement to go through
public process to get the agricultural status with DMG changed to
COMht-INO, since Sandco presently has this designation with
LaPlata County and the AVLUP. Records showing this designation
havE been recorded and filed with the Durango branch of the CDMG.
Sandco has a unique and justifiable request with this declaratory
Order and Hopes the Board will take a pro-mining approach in
their decision on this issue.
The issue has resulted from DMG'S recent reclamation cost est-
imation, totaling $74,022. Of the total $74,022, approximately
$42,388 appear to be associated with reclamation costs for the
processing yard. Sandco does not question this recent evaluation
by DMG, there have been several structures added since the
original evaluation by DMG.
?hank you, ~.,
~d~t~
David Dillon, President
Sand~:o, Inc.
TOTRL P.03
