Long
Division Director
Re: Gray Pit No. 1, Permit No. M-2002-019, Pre-Operational Inspection and Bond Calculation.
Dear Mike:
Please fmd attached a copy of the Pre-Operational Inspection report for MVR Resources records. No
problems or issues are noted. Also, please fmd attached a copy of the reclamation cost estimate done by
this Office. The only difference between the MVR and DMG estimate is the cost for a second seeding
and weed control. The costs aze based on a 35 % failure typical for the Montrose area and some thistle
in the area. If MVR and Mr. Gray accept this cost estimate, then all issues aze resolved and the permit
application is ready for approval. A copy of the report was sent to Mr. Gray, however a copy of the
bond estimate was not.
Please make any objections or comments prior to Apri12°d, 2002 to insure staff has time to review and
respond prior to the permit approval deadline of April 4m. If you need additional information, please
contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite
301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no. 970.241.1117.
Sign~cerely~, ~ ~ ~ ~~ 9 ~'
G.
