<br /> <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />United Companies of Mesa County, Inc. ,whose address and phone number is P.O. Box <br />36(19, Grand Junction, Colorado 81502 970-2431900, has filed an application for an <br />amendment to a Reclamation Permit with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board <br />under provisions of the Colorado Land Reclamation Act for the Extraction of <br />Construction Materials. The proposed mine is known as the River Road Pit and is <br />located at or near Section 6, Township 1 South, Range l West of the Ute Prime Meridian. <br />The proposed date of commencement is 1991 and the proposed date of completion is the <br />year 2002. The proposed future use of the land is IndustriaV Commercial. <br />Additional information and the tentative decision date may be obtained from the Division <br />of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado, 80203, <br />(303) 866-3567, or at the Mesa Coumy Clerk and Rewrder's office; 544 Rood Ave., <br />Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, or the above-named applicant. A complete copy of <br />the application is available at the above-named County Clerk and recorder's office and at <br />the Division's oflfce. <br />Comments concerning the application and exhibits must be in writing and must be <br />received by the Division of Minerals and Geology by 4:00 p.m. on April 12, 2001. <br />Please note that under provisions of C.R.S. 34-32.5-101, et. seq. comments related to <br />noise, truck traffic, hours of operation, visual impacts, effects on property values and <br />other social or economic concerns are issues not subject to this Office's jurisdiction. <br />These subjects, and similar ones, aze typically addressed by your local governments, <br />rather than the Division of Minerals and Geology or the Miced Land Reclamation Board. <br />
