'~-~DDRTt!)VE AN.EN~D!~?F.?sm' cic~ rice DV CDF/`i $L: AF.\FT F.GT ~~F(1R~ GTJI7F D(`F, 'C(+7{'T,' ~ ..• <br />MINING AND ASH DISPOSAL - COORS ENERGY COMPANY • <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, <br />Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home <br />Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the <br />affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public <br />hearing on the 15th day of April, 1987, at the hour of 2:00 p.m. <br />in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of hearing the <br />application of Coors Energy Company, P.O. Bo:: 359, Keenesburg, <br />Colorado 80643, for the amendment of a Use by Special Review for <br />surface coal mining and ash disposal on the following described <br />real estate, to-wit: <br />Part of Sections 25, 26 and 36, all in <br />Township 3 North, Range 64 West of the 6th <br />F.M., Weld C~nnty. Colcrado <br />tuH°RE?1$,'.. ~~31C~ 3p~1:_nnt~ ••;a~~ rerre =~ented b,• T.a rry (`a rn nl•+o]1. <br />manager of the Keenesburg Mine, and <br />WHEF.EAS, Section 24.4.2 of the weld County Zoning Ordinance <br />provides standards for review of said Use by Special Review, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners heard all of the <br />testimony and statements of those present, has studied the request <br />of the applicant and the recommendations of the Weld County <br />Planning Commission and all of the exhibits and evidence presented <br />in this matter and, having been fully informed, finds that this <br />request shall be approved for the following reasons: <br />1. The submitted materials are in compliance with the <br />application requirements of Section 24.7 of the Weld <br />County Zoning Ordinance. <br />2. It is the opinion of the Board of County Commissioners <br />that the applicant has shown compliance with Section <br />4.4.2 of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance as fol.lows~ <br />a. The prcposal is consistent with the Weld County <br />Comprehensive Plan in that extraction of mineral <br />resources and disposal sites are allowed as long as <br />they are preserving pzime agricultural farm land. <br />870274 <br />~,, S' l.. <br />
