• ~ • III IIIIIIIIIIIII III
STATE OF COLORADO
Roy Romer, Govei
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
FRED R. BANTA, Director
March 2, 1988
Mr. John M. Walters
Chief Project Engineer
Salt Creek Mining Company
751 Horizon COurt
Grand Junction, Colorado 81506
Re: McClave Canyon Mine Permit Renewal Application - Permit No. C-80-004
Dear Mr. Walters:
The Division has completed a preliminary adequacy review of the above
referenced application. The existing approved permit application was
reviewed along with the renewal application in order to determine which
sections, if any, need to be revised and/or updated prior to issuance of the
third 3-year pernlit. By virtue of the previous permit updating process that
occurred during the April, 1987 mid-term review, the absence of any mining
activity or revisions to the existing permit since the dates of the mid-term,
and the submittal of various required updates to the permit which were
included along with the permit renewal application, no further permit updates
or additional information will be required in order to meet the adequacy
requirements of the permit renewal process.
The Division will now proceed with preparation of required findings and will
issue a proposed decision on the renewal application within the required time
frames.
Please contact me if you have any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
~ ~~~~
Tom D.
