<br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, Pazagraph 4,
<br />of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on May 25, 2005, an application to revise coal mining operations at the Foidel Creek
<br />Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. Twentymile Coal Company submitted the revision. All review and
<br />comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing.
<br />This Technical Revision would permit constmction of the 6-North mains shaft and associated ancillary equipment and facilities.
<br />Maps showing the spatial relationship of the proposed work and neaz-by wetlands is enclosed (Exhibit EX 16F-Ml Wetland
<br />Delineation 6MN Intake Shag, 4/21/05, and Exhibit EX 16F-M2 Wetland Delineation 6 MN [stake Shaft, 428/OS). A copy of
<br />the entire Permit Applicaton Package is on file at Foidel Creek Mine site (Twentymile Coal Company, 29515 Routt County
<br />Road No. 27, 970-879-3800), and at the offices of the Division of Minernls and Geology.
<br />The underground coat mining operntion is on land located approximately 23 miles Southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
<br />The pennit area is further described as follows:
<br />In portions of Sections 7, 8, 9, T4 W, R86W; Sections 32 and 33, T6N, R86W; Sections 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35 and 36 m
<br />TSN, R87W; and all of TSN, R86W with the exception of Sections 34, 35, and 36.
<br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Rattlesnake Butte, Cow Creek,
<br />Dunckley, Milner, Mount Harris, and Oak Creek.
<br />The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the time of
<br />publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally requved to place a copy of this application at the Routt County
<br />Courthouse, P.O. Box 773598, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, and at the Division office. For additional information or to
<br />provide written comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver,
<br />Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3562 ht order for us to comply with regulatory time flames, we request that comments be
<br />submitted within fifteen (15) days of this letter. If no comments aze received by then, we will proceed on the assumption that
<br />you have no concerns with, or objections to, the applicanPs proposal.
