Exhibit F -Reclamation Plan Map (Rule 6.4.6)
Please revise the map to include the date and signature of the (qualified) person preparing the map,
and the proper map title including name and exhibit of the map.
As mentioned under Exhibit C above, the topography is not clearly drawn in the drainage Swale
between the two pits, nor on the pit floors (are they level or not?). Please revise.
Please better describe the "ponds" on the pit floors, both as depicted on the map and in the Exhibit E
narrative.
Better delineation may be needed to differentiate areas that will be revegetated and those that will not
be.
Exhibit G -Water Information (Rule 6.4.7)
I have enclosed the Colorado Division of Water Resources comments for your information.
Exhibit H -Wildlife Information (Rule 6.4.81
I have enclosed the Colorado Division of Wildlife comments for your information. The comments
include use of smooth wire, the range of heights of the wires, maximum reclaimed slope and weed
control. (The lesser gradient and weed control are issues within the scope of this application. Please
provide any desired changes to the mining or reclamation plans, that maybe in response to the DOW
letter.)
Exhibit I-Soils Information (Rule 6.4.9
The soils map is difficult to read, but the soils descriptions are sufficient to show that there is soil of
sufficient depth to strip for reclamation, and that none of the soils are highly erodible. No further
information is needed.
Exhibit L -Reclamation Costs (Rule 6.4.12)
Responses you provide to questions above will help this office to more accurately estimate
reclamation costs. The estimate prepared at the conclusion of this review will include direct costs
accounting for the types of equipment, volumes, distances and grades, for the tasks of topsoil
replacement, revegetation, spreading of mulch, ripping compaction, and equipment mobilization.
Additionally, the estimate will include indirect costs, for confractor overhead and profit, Division
contract and bond administration, engineering and superintendent costs.
Exhibit M -Other Permits and Licenses (Rule 6.4.131
Please provide a copy of the Stormwater Management Permit map, which should show all runoff and
sediment patterns and control structures.
Exhibit O -Proof of Mailing Notices (Rule 6.4.171
Please provide evidence of mailed notices to all adjoining landowners, as well as the owners within
the permitted area.
Exhibit R - Froof of Filing with County Clerk (Rule 6.4.18)
You have provided the receipt from the county clerk for the filing of the initial application. However,
there have been several additional submittals of materials since July 17, 2006 for which no county
clerk receipt has been submitted. Please provide receipts for all additional materials.
Exhibit S -Permanent Manmade Structures (Rule 6.4.19)
