.DEPARTMENT OF THE ARM. <br />CORPS OF ENGINEERS, OMAHA DISTRICT <br />TRI-LAKES PROJECT OFFICE, 9307 STATE HWY 121 <br />LITTLETO N,C0LORADO 60123-6901 <br />REPLY TO May 31, 1995 <br />ATTENTION OF <br />Mr Dave Becker <br />Weld County Public Works Department <br />Greeley, Colorado 80632 <br />Dear Mr. Becker: <br />This letter concerns Weld County's Koenig Gravel Pit M-80-120 <br />Project located in Section 24, Township 2 North, Range 67 West, Weld <br />County, Colorado. <br />Your project has been reviewed in accordance with Section 404 of <br />the Clean Water Act under which the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers <br />regulates the discharge of dredged and fill material into waters of <br />the United States including wetlands. <br />This letter is to inform you that the proposed activity, assigned <br />number 199480973, will not require a Department of the Army (DA) <br />Permit. However, if the mining plan changes and requires the impacts <br />to the wetlands located to the north of the existing gravel pit or at <br />such time the mining operation is considered complete this office <br />should be contacted for proper DA Permits. <br />Although a DA Permit will not be required for the project, this <br />does not eliminate the requirement that other applicable federal, <br />state, and local permits be obtained as required. <br />If there are any further questions concerning this matter, please <br />feel free to contact Mr. Rex Fletcher of this office at 303-979-4120. <br />a <br />Sincerely, <br />
