<br /> <br />5-501 F. Road Classification <br />Roads are classified as follows (see Figures 5-lA <br />through 5-1G): <br />I. Access Tract - two-lane roadway F~roviding direct <br />access from properties in lower density areas to <br />other roads; <br />II. Local Access Road - provides dircact access from <br />abutting properties to other roads; <br />III. Collector - vicinity-wide continuous access road <br />connecting local access roads to arterials; <br />IV. Minor Arterial - links towns and other areas of <br />concentrated development with int:ra-County <br />service, and provides for relatively high overall <br />travel speeds with minimum interference to through <br />movement; and <br />V. Principal Arterial - continuous access-controlled <br />road that serves corridor movements with trip <br />length and travel density characteristics <br />indicative of statewide travel; F~rincipal <br />arterials in the County typicallp• are administered <br />by the Colorado Department of Transportation <br />(CDOT). <br />5-501 G. Design Capacities <br />The maximum allowable capacities for roads (expressed <br />in Average Daily Traffic one-way trips) are: <br />I. Principal Arterial - 10,000; <br />ZI. Minor Arterial - 4,400; <br />III. Collector - 1,500; <br />IV. Local Access - 500; <br />V. Access Tracts - < 25 <br />5-501 H. Additional Submission Requirements <br />In addition to all applicable submission requirements <br />specified in Article 4, any road development proposal, <br />including addition to and/or realignment of existing <br />roadway, relinquishment of State highway, and all road <br />development components of a Sketch Plan submission <br />shall include, pursuant to Section 5-502: <br />Page 5-5-2 <br />
