We would offer the following comments for yow consideration.
The pit is located south of Lincoln County Road T, about two miles east of Highway 71. Vegetation is well
established throughout most of the pit, except for the northeast and east sides, where some wind and water
erosion has occurred. It appears that drought and bank slope have not allowed vegetation to completely
protect the soil in these two areas. It is ow understanding, however, that Lincoln County plans to apply for a
permit to expand the mine to the east and thereby reduce the slope- This should, hopefully, address the
problem they've experienced with revegetation on this portion of the site.
Thank you for providing us the opportunity to comment on this reclamation release application. Please feel
free to contact Warren Cummings, District Wildlife Manager, should you have any questions or require
additional information.
Sincerely, C~
Mark B.
