~ks and Gesso, LLC
Topsoil as plant-growth medium will be spread over ground that has been
smoothed and readied for topsoil replacement. Topsoil will not be spread on the
reservoir floor or on the lower portions of the slopes. Disking of the topsoil may
be required due to compaction while in storage, and this will be performed prior
to seeding, as necessary.
Revegetation
The seed mix specified in Table E-1 is for use on topsoil storage berms that will
be located in their positions for a short duration, but will require arapid-growing
seed mix. This mix will be applied to any topsoil berm that will remain for longer
than one year.
All surtace areas disturbed by mining activities will be topsoiled and drill-seeded
for final reclamation with the seed mix shown in Table E-2. This includes not
only this proposed amendment area, but the existing permitted area, as well.
This seed mix has been successfully used on several nearby permit areas
operated by the applicant. Entire permits or areas of these permits have been
released from bonding due to the success of the revegetation.
The permanent seed mix will also be used for seeding of the visual and noise
barrier berm in the northwest corner of the site. This berm will remain for the life
of the operation until final reclamation.
Brighton Mine Amendment 22 20007WD
CAMAS Colorado, INC. May 2000
