..
Mining Plan
The Red Canyon Quany mining will continue from the current location north through the
southeast portion of the permitted area. Mining development may move simultaneously
to the azea north and west of the pan handle corner which is located on the west side of
Red Creek Canyon. Mining in this area will continue in the same manner as is presently
being used. Topsoil will be stockpiled along the bottom of the benches. Later this same
topsoil will be used to reclaim the benches.
In order to satisfy the Take Avoidance Area (TAA) proposal discussed with the Colorado
Department of Fish and Wildlife, Rocky Mountain Materials and Asphalt, Inc. will
develop the azea north and west of the pan handle corner which is located on the west
side of Red Creek Canyon with the following disturbances:
Major: an increase up to 50 acres
Moderate: an increase up to 50 acres
Minor: and increase up to ]0 acres
In the future the TAA may change but this should not affect the mining and reclamation
plans after approval of this amendment. In all azeas reclamation will be conducted
concurrently with mining.
