RE: Appeal of Division Decision to Deny Release Request, Willis Pit, Permit No. M-1992-003
Dear Commissioners:
As you know, the Division scheduled your appeal of our decision to deny your request to be released
from further reclamation responsibility for the Willis Gravel Pit for the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board's June 20-21, 2000 meeting. On June 1, 2000, a Permit Transfer and Succession of
Operator request was approved. Silver Mountain Preserve, Inc., has transferred to permit No. M-1992-
003 and succeeds Huerfano County as operator. The approval letters were sent June 6, 2000.
The Division can not remove the A peal Hearing from the Board's agenda without Huerfano County
withdrawing its appeal Since the permit is no longer Huerfano ounty's, please send me a note
withdrawing your appeal.
