i <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Powderhom Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO 81526, has filed with the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology an application for a technical revision <br />to revise the sedimentation control plan in its Permit No. C-81-041, for the Roadside <br />North and South Portal. This revision includes the ditch by the Guard Shack and <br />pipe to Pond 8. The mines are located approximately 3 miles northeast of <br />Palisade, Colorado at the Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No. 46. The permit area is split <br />east and west by the Colorado River and 1-70, and is encompassed within the <br />following lands: <br />T.IOS., R.98W., 6th P.M.; Sections 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34 and 35 <br />T.11S., R.98W., 6th P.M.; Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13 and 14 <br />T.11S., R.97W., 6th P.M.; Sections 6, 7 and 18 <br />T.1S., R.2E., Ute P.M.; Section 1 <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S.G.S. 7.5 minute, Cameo <br />and Palisade Quadrangle Maps. ~ <br />A copy of the propo d Permit Renewal ication is available for public <br />inspection at the Mesa oun y erk and Recorder's Office, Mesa County <br />Courthouse, 544 u n, CO 81501.
