Both of these
highwalls are .25:1 slopes that must be reduced to ]:l rock slopes. These volumes also reflect
tonnages necessary to finish grade disturbed areas on North Ridge.
OTHER RECLAMATION AREAS
TITANIUM DRII,L ROAD REMOVAL AND RECLAMATION
In the mid 1980's, core drilling was performed along a roadway circumscribing Titanium Hill, a
large gypsum surface outcrop in the Southern end of the Affected land but not within the
geologic orientation of the main ore reserve and the sections referred to earlier in this report.
Titanium and Uranium Hill were the areas of mining in the 1960's and 1970's, and core drilling
and waste removal work in the late 80's proved out app. One million tons of potential gypsum
reserve. The core drill roadway and app. Ten acres of disturbed mining ground will be regraded
via bulldozer and drilling and blasting on the mine benches. This work will entail app. 10,000
tons of gypsum and limestone rock drilled and shot and app. 25,000 tons of bulldozer work to
regrade the areas in question.
ROADWAY, BUILDING, AND EQUIPMENT REMOVAL
There are a number of structures which must be removed to complete the closure of this mine
property, including the primary crushing circuit and supporting equipment (screen, conveyors,
dust collector, concrete structures) and blasting materials storage facilities. Approximately one
mile of roadway removal will be necessary in addition to the approximately three miles of
