The <br />current zoning of the Edna Mine is Mining and griculture/Forestry. Once mining and <br />reclamation has been completed, the area zoned Mining may be rezoned to <br />Agriculture/Forestry. In order to accomplish this, the mine operator should notify this office <br />when all work has been completed at the site, and the staff can initiate a zone change to <br />Ag ri cu Itu reJ Fo vestry. <br />From my understanding of your proposed plans for this property, it is anticipated that the end <br />use of the property will be for ranching, and that the existing buildings will be converted for use <br />as ranch headquarters, storage buildings, and associated facilities. The use of the buildings in <br />this manner will not require further review by Routt County. If the buildings are to be used <br />commercially, as in a horse-back riding arena, a review and permit from the County would be <br />required. <br />In addition, residential development of the property is subject to further County review and such <br />plans should be submitted to the Planning Dept. staff if proposals are made to divide the <br />property. <br />Once the reclamation of this mine is complete, please contact this office so we can initiate a <br />Zone Change from Mining to Agriculture/Forestry. <br />Thank you for your consideration in this matter. <br />Sincerely, <br />..~ /_ <br />C G% ~dSr <br />Caryn <br />Staff Planner <br />cc: Board of County Commissioners <br />Rautt County Attorney <br />
