Dear Pls. Thompson:
This letter requests approval of a Technical Revision to our Coal
• Permit for Modification of the Hydrological Ponitoring Program.
The purpose of this requested Technical Revision is twofold:
1. To bring the hydrologic monitoring program more in line with
actual operating conditions at the mine site, and
2. To provide satisfactory and timely abatement of Notice of
'violation C-88-027 dated Piay 23, 1988 as modified I~[ay 26,
'988.
Enclosed please find a pro forma Public Notice document and a
Technical proposal detailing our recommendations with an accom-
panying site map.
I sincerely hope this submittal meets with Division approval and
look forward to successfully maintaining the neca monitoring
program on the proper schedule. Please contact me if you have
