<br />In order to use water out of that ditch, industrial water rights must be acquired and the ditch <br />must be upgraded to carry additional water. The applicant has elected to pursue a well permit <br />from the Colorado Department of Water Resources, and to drill a water well instead. In order <br />to use water from this well, proper water rights must be obtained and an augmentation plan <br />must be developed. The application for a well permit has been submitted, and is being <br />processed. <br />p~ 3. What is the depth to the grmuul water table, includitrg any significant perched ground water. <br />Identify any known aquifers. <br />It is~beh~hat the ground water table is 20 feet to 30 feet below the proposed floor of the <br />excav ted azea. According to the Division of Water Resources office in Montrose, the depth <br />to any significant perched water could range from 100 feet to 200 feet. They were unable to <br />identify any_known aquifer in_this area.. <br />~w4. Provide an estimate of the project water requirements. <br />Water will be used during four separate operations, general pit operations, gravel mining and <br />crushing, hot mixed asphalt production, and aggregate washing. <br />General pit operations will be conducted for the entire year. Water needs will be dust control <br />for haul roads and stockpiles. Approximately 2.4 acre feet/year is required. <br />Gravel mining and crushing will be conducted approximately 2 months each year. <br />Approximately 0.2 acre feet/year will be required. <br />Hot mixed asphalt production will be conducted for approximately 3 months a year. <br />Approximately 0.4 acre feet/year will be required. <br />Aggregate washing will be conducted approximately 1 month each year. Approximately 8.8 <br />acre feet/year will be required. <br />Exhibit H -Wildlife Information <br />~t,l. Provide results ofdtscussiotu with Division of Wildlife regarding the affects of the operation <br />on resident and migration wildlife. <br />The Division of Wildlife has not responded with any specific concerns regarding this operation. <br />Exhibit J -Vegetation Information <br />0~1. On the pre-Mining Plan Map, show the delineation behveen the two major vegetation types. <br />The revised Pre-Mining Plan Map shows the delineation between the wooded areas and the <br />grass covered areas, as requested. <br />
