-5- <br />The ditch will enter a 40-foot 18-inch minimum cmp culvert <br />as indicated on the map, constructed with a 2-foot concrete <br />headwater. This culvert will carry the diversion under the <br />main access and haul road at a gradient of 1%. At the <br />discharge end the culvert will empty into a cmp downdrain <br />constructed of split 24-inch cmp culvert or similar <br />material. The downdrain will carry the drainage <br />approximately 40 feet down an embankment to the fines <br />stockpile bench access road, where it will be conveyed under <br />the road by a second 30-foot 18-inch minimum cmp culvert. <br />This culvert will empty into the natural drainage present at <br />this point through large riprap placed immediately below the <br />discharge end of the culvert for energy dissipation. This <br />system is shown on map C-la, and in greater detail on <br />Figure 3. <br />
