Soils <br />a. The soils of this site are shallow and well drained. They occur <br />?~~' on upland ridges and formed primarily from sandstones and <br />limestones. Surface texture can vary from a stoney s ndy loam <br />to a loam. <br />Permeability is moderate. Available water capacity i Iow. <br />Runoff is moderate to rapid and erosion can be severe if plant <br />cover is destroyed. <br />b.
