RE: CONTINUANCE, Appeal Hearing, Willis Pit, Permit No. NI-1992-003 ~
Dear Commissioners:
The Hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board regarding your Appeal of the Division's
decision to deny your performance warranty release request for the Willis Pit, Permit No. M-1992-003
has been continued from the May 24, 2000 Board Meeting to the June 21-22, 2000 Board Meeting.
The June meeting will be held in Room 318, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado, starting at 9:00
a.m. each day. Your matter will be heard by the Board as soon as possible.
Today, I received a message from the attorney representing Silver Mountain Preserve. He said that a
reclamation bond had been sent yesterday to complete Silver Mountain's application to Transfer to
Permit No. M-19922-003 and succeed Huerfano County as operator.
As soon as we receive the bond and approve it, I will approve the transfer and withdraw the Appeal
hearing from the June Board agenda, since the permit will no longer be in the name of Huerfano
County.
