Typical seismic refraction spread.
r1
LJ
SEISMIC REFRACTION SURVEY RESULTS
Survey 1, Spread 1
Apparent depth to bedrock along the first spread varies from 12' on the west end to I S' in the middle to 7'
on the east end. It is likely the actual depths to bed rock near the ends of the spread are less deep than
indicated by the processed profile. Bedrock velocity agrees with known values for sandstone velocity.
Overburden velocity is typical of unconsolidated sediments. The profile for the spread shows evidence of
a channel in the bedrock (Figure 7).
Oz Bow Seismic Line Parallel to RallroaA Tracks
6030 ____.__..-_- ___._.-_ ____.__.___.. ______. __..___.
g12 E ..
6025 yy 91 g11
6020 92 g3 gq 95 g6 M 97 96 g9 910
9 6015 -.-GlOanO SuAace
v1 = 1 soo ms , ~eedrock
w 6010
6005
V2 = ]625 N/s
6000
0 20 40 60 60 100 120
Fig. 7.
