Seeding recommendations follow: <br />SEEDING -OUTSIDE TOP OF SLOPE <br />SPECIE PLS/AC. <br />Jose Tall Wheatgrass 10.2 <br />Alkalai Sacton 0.6 <br />Yellow Sweet Clover 2.8 <br />Sand Dropseed 0.2 <br />Crested Wheatgrass 4.0 <br />SEEDING -TOP OF SLOPE TO <br />WATER LEVEL <br />SPECIE PLS/AC. <br />Reed Canarygrass 5.3 <br />Red Top 0.3 <br />Seeding will normally be done in the fail and spring when temperatures and adequate soil <br />moisture are present. Seeding will be accomplished by either broadcasting or by using a <br />seed drill. If broadcasting is used seed rates will be doubled. Due to the nature of the <br />overburden and topsoil found in the area, hay, straw or fiber mulch is not considered to be <br />necessary. <br />WEED CONTROL - If necessary, weed control measures will be employed for control of <br />any noxious weed species. Control measures will also be used if the growth of weed <br />species on the reclaimed area threatens further spread of the weeds to nearby areas. In <br />the event that weed control is required, herbicides will be of those that are approved by <br />the Soil Conservation Service. During the removal of topsoil, if an area of heavy seed <br />infestation is encountered, it will be buried as overburden rather than used as a growth <br />medium. <br />STOCKPILE, PROCESS, & STAGING AREA -Once all of the mineral resource has been <br />removed from this area, it will be used as some type of industrial activity. Such as, outdoor <br />storage of construction equipment and supplies. Since the site, in its current state, is well <br />graded, modification to the existing conditions will not be attempted. Enough gravel will <br />be salvaged from the resource stockpiles to cover the entire ground surface within the area <br />with 4 to 6 inches of material . <br />RE ~~ I I425~97 E - 2 <br />
