Cattany <br />Acing Division Director <br />Re: Proposed Decision <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 4 (RN-4) <br />Seneca II Mine (Permit No. C-1980-005) <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is proposing to approve a renewal application for coal mining and <br />reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Seneca Coal Company on August 16, 2001 for the Seneca II <br />Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.07.4(2)(c) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we aze providing notice of this proposed decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public notice by <br />the Division in the Steamboat Pilot. <br />The surface mine is located approximately 9 miles southeast of Hayden. The permit azea is further described as <br />follows: <br />TSN, R87W; All of Sections 1, 2 and 12; Portions of Sections 3, 11 and 13 <br />T6N, R87W; Portions of Sections 27, 34, 35 and 36 <br />TSN, R86W; Portions of Sections 6 and 7. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the Routt County Clerk and Recorder's Office.
