<br />Oxbow Mining, Inc. (OMn, P.O. Box 535, 3737 Highway 133, Somerset, Colorado 81434, has
<br />filed an application for transfer of Permit No. G1981.022 to Oxbow Elk Creek, LLC, which
<br />will become known as Oxbow Mining, LLC (Oxbow), P.O. Box 535, 3737 Highway 133,
<br />Somerset, Colorado 81434. Both OMI and Oxbow are whollyowned subsidiaries of Oxbow
<br />Carbon & Minerals, Inc. The approved Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology Pemut
<br />No. G1981-022, provides for underground coal mining and related surface operations and
<br />activities, ass well as reclamation of minltlg-related dis[urbanees of the sealed Somerset Mine
<br />and existing Sanborn Creek and Elk Creek Mines. The areas included in the cui-renc permit to
<br />be transferred aze locaud in Gunnisoss and Delta Counties adjacent to the town of Somerset
<br />and west along the North Fork of the Gunnison River. This azea is covered by the U.S.
<br />Geological Survey 7.5 minute Somerset and Bowie quadrangle maps. All existing and
<br />proposed activities occur within the mine permit area defined as follows:
