Lung <br />Division Drreaor <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 116, Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on November 23, 1998. an application <br />to revise coal mining operations at the Bear Mine vas considered complete (or the purposes of filing. <br />The revision was submitted by Beaz Coal Company, Inc.. All review and comment periods as provided <br />to the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The operator proposes to construct a shallow mine-water treatment pond in the old truck tum-around <br />area. <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located near the town of Somerset. Colorado. The <br />permit area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections 8, 9, and 15; all of Section 16; portions of Sections 17, 18, 20, and 21 Township 13 <br />South, Range 90 West of the 6th P.M. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle map of Somerset <br />A copy of the technical revision applica0on is available for public inspection at the Gunnison County <br />Courthouse, 200E Virginia. Gunnison, CO 81230, and at the Division o(tice. For additional <br />information or to provide written comments. contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215. <br />1313 Sherman Street.
