Simpson
Stale Engineer
We have reviewed the above referenced project file to evaluate potential impact to water resources.
The project amendment involves increasing mined acreage from 7.5 acres to 9.9 acres. According
to the file, the gypsum mining operation will not intercept groundwater nor impact any surface
water resources. Dust control will be accommodated by hauling municipal water.
Since there is no anticipated impact to local water resources, we can recommend approval of the
amendment as submitted.
cc: Alan Berryman, Division Engineer
Shaven Hoff.
