Cattany <br />Acting Division Director <br />Re: Proposed Decision <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 4 (RN-4) <br />New Horizon Mine (Permit No. C-1981-008) <br />Deaz Montrose County Commissioners: <br />This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is proposing to Approve a renewal <br />application for a coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Western Fuels-Colorado <br />on September 27, 2002, for the New Horizon Mine. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />heazing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the First publication of this notice by the <br />Division in the San Miguel Basin Forum. <br />The surface mine is located approximately 3 miles northwest of Nucla. The permit azea is further described as <br />follows: <br />Portions of Section 6, Township 46 North, Range 15 West, New Mexico Prime Meridian <br />Copies of the renewal application aze available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the Montrose County Clerk and Recorder's Office.
