We have owned our property since May of 1979 choosing it for the rural sett9ng with access to urban amenities if we would so choose. The neighborhood was well established at that time and we soon become a part of the community, making friends we have today and serving when civic duties called. Our area is quiet and supports a variety of wildlife creatures with which we are~riveged to coexist The drastic impact your operation implies causes us great distress as we are located so close. Our property backs on the eastern border of the proposed HR area. How will the will be disturbed is shifting how will this affect the foundatloh of our structures and the natural artesianal flow of subteraniah aquifers? What consideration has been given to the vast displacement of a most varied array of indigenous wildlife in the HR area which includes deer, wild turkeys, hawks, eagles, Canadian geese, owls, ducks, turtles, racoons, skunks, snakes, muskrats, coyotes, foxes-red and gray, field mice, rabbits? Just running down During the actual mining of this area the amount of noise from the bads-up signals at all hours of the day and night is almost as alarming to consider as are the vibrations and gravel noise while loading and transporting this product. We are concerned about dust as we have an evaporative cooler system that requires open windows for optimal operating function during the hot summer months. (Which in Colorado we all know can include April, May and September, October) How many years to complete this proposal? How will the land be _ _ . _ _ reclaimed to minimize erosion and be pleasingto the eye._ _ It has been our experience in Adams Couritjr that little consideration to thfs point is given when mining ceases. We call your attention to hunks of old concrete and chain link fence with razor wire headers that adorn various abandoned gravel mining sights along Old Brighton Road and 104th Ave. We believe our concerns to be valid and would welcome your reply in person on our property.
