GEO'CECHNICAL STABILITY EXHIBIT
NORTH OF DOUGLAS PASS
It is proposed [hat the reclaimed rock slopes will be left at a maximum '/<:1 slope
(horizontal to vertical) fox a maximum of 30 feet vertical with horizontal benches
intermixed. The average reclaimed slope should be approximately'/<:1 to 1:1. The BLM
has approved reclaimed slopes at a maximum of %<:1 in this pit as being visually
compatible with the surrounding terrain. The rock found in this pit is presently at close to
a %<:1 slope to a height of 80-90 feet. The existing slope has been stable many years.
The proposed reclaimed slope should be stable. Some minor raveling may occur, but
should not be a problem a.t this remote site -most raveling will be contained by the
intermixed benches or at the toe.
a ~, ,,..,,~R
~ .. `~~STcRf.O,~'9
l e '2
i ~'0 iR-VJT W` i~ i
A 2: J<
i
F, U
!\~ S`r NAB F.r t Y` ~i/./'~
S ~~' -
