Attached is a
copy of the pertinent sections of the revision submittal. The revision was called complete on September
8, 2003. The decision due date is September 14, 2003.
In Minor Revision No. 29, Bowie Resources Limited (BRL) is proposing to drill 14 geotechnical holes,
all in support of a future coal mine waste disposal azea. The revision for the new coal mine waste
disposal azea has not been submitted by BRL yet. The geotechnical holes aze needed to gather data for a
stability analysis of the future waste disposal azea. The drilling site is located about 2000 feet east of the
present coal mine waste disposal azea. There will be about 1.3 acres of disturbance for light use roads.
The holes will be drilled on the new roads. The geotechnical holes and roads will be reclaimed soon after
drilling.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
~/~
seph J. h
Environmental Protection Specialist
JJD/Ahd
CLI-0l C1996083 1JD 20030908 103405 AM
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
