a- WEAVER ENGINEERING SERVICES 823 Garfield Street Canon City, CO 81212 719-429-5510 January 3, 2007 Mr. Dan Hernandez Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 Denver, Colorado 80203 RECEIVED JAN 10 2007 Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety RE: NOI X-2005-226-00 Amendment (AM-Ol ) Changes to Scope of Work, and Responses to Adequacy Review Northfield Partners, LLC Deaz Mr. Hernandez: Northfield Partners, LLC (Northfield) has reconsidered the scope of proposed drilling and requirements for additional geologic data as proposed in the above referenced amendment to NOI X-2005-226-00 dated December 6, 2006. As a result, Northfield now proposes to eliminate the NF-04 exploration site. Northfield wishes to amend the subject Notice of Intent in order to commence additional drilling within the proposed Northfield Mine permit area. Proposed exploration drilling activities currently include drilling three (3) exploration holes to obtain data from core samples. The three proposed holes will be drilled as twin boreholes at the three existing drill sites identified in the approved NOI as NF-Ol, NF-02, and NF-03. These sites are identified on accompanying Figure 1, NOI X-2005-226-00 Amendment AM-O1 Site Map. All geologic, hydrologic, and vegetation aspects, as described in the NOI, remain valid for the proposed scope of the proposed additional drilling. The twin holes to be drilled at the existing sites will not require any modifications or enlargement of the drill pads. All drill sites are within property boundaries owned by the Chandler Creek Companies. Northfield currently leases all lands in the exploration azea from Chandler Creek Companies as documented in the approved NOI. All drill site and drill trail reclamation activities will conform to the plans set forth in the NOI. Northfield plans to seat and abandon alt proposed drill holes immediately following completion of each hole before the drilling equipment leaves the site. Northfield wishes to commence the proposed exploration in January, or eazly February, 2007, with completion no later than May 2007. Reclamation will occur concurrently with exploration. All related reclamation activities will be completed no later than September 2007.
