Revegetation sampling was conducted on July 24, 1992 for Phase lI Release. The Division
conducted sampling on September 1 and 2 and came up with data that was different from that
collected by Kaiser. As a result, a new round of sampling was conducted on July 9, 1993. The
Phase II application was withdrawn due to a lack of warm season grass diversity. A grazing
program was implemented during the spring of 1994 and 1995 to assist in the development of
warm season grasses. Qualitative sampling for warm season grasses was conducted on
September 26, 1994 and September 14 and I5, 1995 to assess the grazing program. Phase [I
sampling occurred again on July 22, 1996 which proved successful achievement of Phase II
standards. Phase I[I sampling was conducted during 1998 and the results have been submitted
under separate cover. Other than the two years of qualitative data collected in 1994 and 1995,
the Division should have all vegetation data on file. All data indicate an increasing trend in
warm season grasses on the reclaimed area.
