Long <br />Dn'ision Drtecbr <br />The Division received the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's letter, dated August 12, 1998, which <br />had been sent as a response to this division's request for comments concerning Bowie Resources <br />Technical Revision No. 2. This revision would add 158 acres to the present permit azea and <br />include federal coal into the mine plan. <br />The Division would like to inform the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that, according to <br />communication with the operator's consultant, the proposed mine plan addition would not result <br />in any increase in water depletion nor would it result in any increase in the surface disturbance. <br />The operator has been informed that the federal lease has to be secured before the Division can <br />render a final decision on this technical revision. <br />The Division appreciates the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's comments.
