Trapper is making
minor modifications to topsoil strip azeas in the north end ofD pit (add 7.4 acres). This D
pit azea has been permitted for extraction of an isolated area of I seam, Trapper is seeking
approval to re-disturb a small azea that has previously been released from bond. This
change is shown on attached Map M10B, Sheet 1. In addition to the added topsoil
stripping, Trapper is also seeking approval to reroute a portion of the powerline that nuns
through this D pit, I seam reserve azea. This powerline feeds an F pit substation. The
reroute corridor will cross an azea that has been released from bond. While disturbance
will be minimal, the corridor (4,375 long, 15 feet wide) will need to be permitted. This
change is shown on Map M13, Sheets 1 and 2.
These changes affect the reclamation liability. A total of 7.4 acres of disturbance is being
added in D pit. At 14"of lay-down, 13,928 cubic yazds aze required. Using the most
recent bond calculation (DMG CIRCES software), the average wst per cubic yard is
$1.26 resulting in a total cost of replacement of $17,549. Bond revegetation costs average
$575.40 per acre (includes reseeding failed azeas). The cost of revegetation totals $4,258.
The addition of the powerline corridor adds an additional 1.51 acres of area that may
need to be revegetated. At $575.40 per acre the cost is $869. In summary, the liability
should increase as follows:
Topsoil replacement
Revegetation
Subtotal
Induect costs at 17.8%
$ 17,549
5 127
$ 22,676
$ 4,036
P.O.
