Therefore laboratory test results cannot be expected to achieve the same <br />detection limits for individual samples as can be achieved through a laboratory MDL study. <br />Given the effects of matrix interference and dilution, detection limits may vary among <br />samples. <br />It is anticipated that testing methods employed by the laboratory during implementation of <br />the Groundwater and Surface Water Monitoring Plan will be those used to generate the <br />MDLs in Tables 2 and 3. Because sample characteristics (e.g., matrix interference) may vary <br />substantially, other methods may be used if, in the laboratory's opinion, alternative methods <br />would yield higher quality data and/or lower detection limits than the anticipated methods. <br />American Soda and/or the laboratory will use appropriate methods based on the sample <br />characteristics and will make every reasonable a ort to hold the MDLs for all samples at, <br />or preferably below, the applicabl s dard. <br />
