CO 81625
r
Marvin Moore, Moffat County Road Deparr~nent
Post Office Box 667
Craig, CO 81626
Dear Mr. Moore,
July 17, 1991
In reference to our conversation yesterday concerning reclamation
of gravel pits we recommend that you go with the BLM's
recommendations of 15 PLS (lbs.)/acre Pubescent wheatgrass, 14 PLS
(lbs.)/acre Intermediate wheatgrass and 10 PLS (lbs.)/ acre Russian
wildrye in equal proportions. These are introduced grasses but
they tend to provide a quicker cover than some of our native varieties
and are just as good if not better in palatability and vigor.
Good luck with your revegetation work. If we can be of further assistance,
please let us know.
Sinc rely, /'l
d~~ ~C, l ~L` CL.
Patti D.
