Ifthe riverside bank protection is not constructed, the minimum mining <br />setback will be 200 feet. Portions of the riverbank stabilized by Urban Drainage have also been included <br />on both the revised Mine Plan Map (Exhibit C-3), submitted herewith, and the revised Reclamation Plan <br />Map. We would request that these revisions and the enclosed maps be incorporated into this technical <br />revision. <br />A second item identified in your November 9 inspection report as a problem indicates that the north pit is <br />permitted as a wet mining operation and that a technical revision addressing de-watering must be <br />submitted to the Division. De-watering of the north pit was addressed through the amendment <br />application approved by the Division on November 16, 2000. The mining method proposed in that <br />application was for dry mining. [n Exhibit D, under Water Diversions and Impoundments, the permit <br />application states, "De-watering ditches on the new mining area will be connected to the existing de- <br />wateringsystem on [he adjacent property to the north." As indicated in that same paragraph, there is an <br />existing CPDES discharge permit for the de-watering operations. The CPDES permit includes discharge <br />points from the North Lake. De-watering of the North Lake is also discussed in Exhibit D under <br />Timetables for Mining and Reclamation Operations. <br />Enclosed is a check in the amount of $188-00 for the technical revision requested by this letter.
