F. & Sons Subdivision in 1998. Acquisition of the property was subject <br />to the right of the miner, Albert Frei & Sons, Inc., to complete its mining activities. Extraction of <br />minerals from the property has now been completed. <br />Denver Water and South Adams are currently developing the necessary construction plans to improve <br />the property for use as a water supply reservoir. The first step toward improvement of the properly will <br />be construction of a slurry wall liner. The slurry wall will be extended to include other adjacent <br />properties which will be part of the reservoir project. Work on the slurry wall is expected to commence <br />later this summer. I will provide additional information regarding the slurry wall under cover of a <br />separate letter. Representatives of Denver Water and South Adams are available to meet with the <br />appropriate personnel of the Division to discuss our constmction and improvement plans for the <br />property and also to discuss any permit requirements which maybe necessary. <br />In order that the permit for the property may be in the owners' names, and in order to facilitate the <br />planned improvements, the Transfer of Permit and Succession of Operator form for Permit No. M-1977- <br />153, signed by the current permittee and the appropriate Denver Water official is enclosed. The $125 <br />application fee is also enclosed, together with the fully executed Performance Warranty. The Board of <br />Water Commissioners of the City and County of Denver 1s a municipal corporation of the State of <br />Colorado, and pursuant to 4.1.2(2) of the Rules and Regulations of the Mined Land Reclamation Board, <br />the Board submits a written guarantee in lieu of a financial warranty for the property. <br />If you have any questions regarding the enclosed, please call either Michael L.
