This system would replace the operation
of the current overland conveyor system until a suitable permanent alternative system can be
fully engineered, permitted, and constructed. We anticipate bringing the proposed loadout
system into operation on or about January 1, 2004.
The main changes will be bringing in part of the existing railroad loop back into the permitted
disturbance acreage. Essentially all the azea covered under this request is currently disturbed and
actively being utilized for the operation of the railroad. Upon completion of a permanent
alternative system for coal shipment the area will be cleaned of mining related debris and the site
returned to industrial use by the railroad. Minor widening of specific sections of the
conveyor/loadout road maybe necessary within current or proposed disttubance boundaries.
If you have any further questions please contact me at 970-675-4322.
Sincerely,
.~~
Scott Wanstedt
Environmental Engineer
swanstedtCa~deserado.com
enc:
cc: ]effDubbert w/o
Max McCoy - BLM
Town of Rangely -public review
3607 County RD #65
Rangely,CO g1648
970675-0300
Fax 970675-4399
~:
