As an
owner of property located in the Lake Fork Junction, Ames, Colorado, I want to express
my deep concern regarding the activities of the Pathfinder Pit (hereafter referred to as the
Pit).
The stability of the slope and valley below the Pit is potentially being threatened by the
activities at the Pit. Heavy traffic and potential damage to the nearby penstock represent
a clear and present danger. If the situation is not properly assessed, it is possible that
damage could result to the terrain and structures within the Lake Fork Junction
Homeowners Association. The safety of residents and their assets should be of utmost
concern to the Board.
The quality of the watershed in the Lake Fork Junction and surrounding area could be
adversely affected if proper engineering and safety considerations are not taken into
affect. Both the Lake Fork and Howazd's Fork of the San Miguel run through our
properties. Preserving the qualities of these waters is extremely important for a variety of
reasons including the environment, aesthetics, floral and fauna, and the personal safety of
the residents.
I urge the Board and all other responsible parties to act in the best interests of the
community and it residents in order to insure our safety and that of the environment. The
financial priorities of the management and ownership of the Pit certainly should not take
precedence over the safety and welfare of the citizenry.
I trust that the Board will give the utmost consideration to our concerns. Thank you in
advance for your consideration and cooperation.
414-377-6926
414-229-4211
1153 Granville Road
Cedarburg, WI 53012
Member of
Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Acouotants American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
