Walther <br />Executive Dlrec[or <br />Ronald W. Cattany <br />Acing Division Director <br />Snowcap Coal Company, Inc. has applied for a bond release at the Roadside Portals. The bond release <br />application was found complete by this Division on February 17, 2003. The release request is for <br />Phase I Bond Release based upon completion of facilities removal and backfilling and grading for <br />various locations at the Roadside North and South Portals Mine. The request is for release of up to <br />$1,600,000.00 of the total $3,264,149.00 reclamation bond. The release request applies to coal refuse <br />disposal sites and various mine facilities located on both sides of I-70 and the Colorado River, in the <br />vicinity of the I-70 Cameo exit. The surface ownership is Federal and private, and the coal mined was <br />Federal and private. <br />We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as soon <br />as it has been scheduled.
