Long <br />Drvilion Dircdor <br />Pursuant to Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, you are hereby notified that the Divison of <br />Minerals and Geology proposes to approve with conditions the renewal of a <br />permit to conduct underground coal mining and reclamation operations at the <br />Golden Eagle Mine. <br />The underground mining operation is located approximately 20 miles west of <br />Trinidad, Colorado, and is more specifically described as follows: <br />Sections 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 of Township 33 <br />South, Range 67 West; projected Sections 27, 28, 29, 30, <br />31, 32, 33 and 34 of Township 33 South, Range 67 West; <br />and projected Sections 3 and 4 of Township 34 South, <br />Range 67 West. <br />Projected sections are partially or fully projected by <br />Basin Resources due to the unsurveyed nature of the <br />Maxwell Land Grant. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />maps of Vigil, Weston, Tercio and Little Pine Canyon. <br />If you have any questions, please contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />seph J.`'Dudash <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />JJD/bjw <br />7410G <br />
