Permit # M-1983-033
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
This Technical Revision is to address the corrective actions
noted in your June 15, 2007 inspection report. Shortly after your
inspections Albert Frei and Sons, Inc. completed the cleanup and bank
stabilization as we discussed at the inspection. while it has been
rather dry over the past month we felt it was prudent to get the work
done before any problems occurred. The following text outlines what
was done and the cost for completing the tasks. The attached photo
page shows the two areas of concern and how they look now that they
have been corrected.
The ramp area was graded and shaped and approximately 35 tone of
4 inch plus material was used to face the ramp to stabilize it and
prevent erosion. The material was spread on the ramp 12 inches deep
from the top of the slope down to the Ordinary High Water (OHw) line.
This avoids placing fill into the river without having the proper 404
permit. Large rocks were then place at the top of the ramp to re-
strict vehicle access. The western aide where the ramp meets the
revegetated berm will be seed this fall. On the east aide the rock
was blended with the slope where stabilization rock was spread in
previous years.
In the area where the gully erosion was developing, we graded the
eroded channel, placed an isolation ditch along the top of the elope
to direct the water to the stormwater pond on the east aide of Stage
Y. The area was then stabilized with 15 tone of the 4 inch plus
material as was done on the ramp area. Again only the area above the
OHW was done to avoid permitting issues.
