Long
Division Dire[lor
In follow-up to our conversation and my conversation with David, I have reviewed
Southfield•e Technical Revision No. 20 application which was provided in response
to a stipulation addressing deficiencies in the reclamation plan. Some of the
deficiencies were identified during my review of the bond estimate during the
permit renewal. I reviewed the submittal for TR~`20 to determine if Southfield
has provided me with the information requested previously. The following list
identifies the items I requested to complete the bond estimate and the presence
of lack thereof in the application:
Mao 6 - (pre-mine topography) Not included in the application; but,
perhaps does not require revision.
Man 7 - (pre- and post- mining cross sections) Included in
application.
Costs for Enkamat installation - No included in the application.
This information should be provided.
Mav 28 - (post-mining topography) Included in application.
Toosoil stockpile volumes - Included in application.
Source of backfill for portals - Not included in the application.
This information should be included.
Please keep in mind that I have given these maps and this information only a
cursory review and have not determined the adequacy of these items. in your
preliminary adequacy letter to Southfield the above information as noted should
be requested for review. With the information we do have, I can conduct a more
thorough review in the next few weeks.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
cc: David Berry
