iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii <br />999 <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division has issued a proposed decision to <br />approve a technical revision to the mining and reclamation plans for the West <br />Elk Mine, Permit No. C-80-007, operated by Mountain Coal Company, under the <br />provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The <br />proposed technical revision (TR - 061) was submitted by Mountain Coal Company, <br />on December 16, 1991 for the West Elk Mine. The affected area is located in <br />portions of Sections 9, 10, 15 to 22, 26 to 30, and 34, Township 13 South, <br />Range 90 West of the 6th P.M.in Gunnison County; containng approximately 4,240 <br />acres. This area is located on the USGS 7.5 minute Somerset quadrangle <br />topographic map. <br />The subject technical revision proposes to use coal refuse (gob) as fill <br />material in the stack tube's coal storage pad. <br />Copies of the proposed technical revision are available for review at the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room <br />215, Denver, Colorado 80203. Any person who has an interest which is or may <br />be adversely affected may request a formal hearing regarding this proposed <br />decision. Requests for a formal hearing must be made in writing within ten <br />(10) days of this publication and shall state with reasonable specificity the <br />reasons for the request and objections to the proposed decision. <br />6180G <br />
