consideration.
Item 39: Satisfied. Thank you for your response.
Item 40: The seed mixtures located in Table 33 for both Final and
Temporary uses are still too heavy. For the temporary mix, the
Crested Wheatgrass could be reduced from four pounds of pure live
seed (PLS)/acre to one pound PLS/acre. The rest of the temporary
mix is satisfactory. For the final mix, please reduce your amounts
on all species by one-half, providing a 49 PLS/sq.ft. instead of
98. Generally, 35-50 PLS/sq.ft. is the targeted and desired
seeding rate. Thank you for your responses.
One note: There have been several misspelled words found on Table
33. These are the following:
1. Crested wheatgrass should be Agropyron desertorum
2. Bouteloua curtipendula
3. Astragulus cicer
4. Bouteloua (wherever mentioned)
5. page 2.05.4-22R: 1st paragraph, 1st sentence: "a
damping"- please clarify. Perhaps you mean "adapting"?
Please correct these items.
Items 41 through 47: Items concern bonding issues. Scale adjustment for contractor performance bond, public
liability insurance (1.55$), contract preparation fees,
Division's project management fees and job superintendent fee
all need to be re-adjusted from the submitted estimate. For
assistance, refer to copy of scale provided August 11, 1993 on
site meeting.
3. No cost to remove pond lining for Pond #`3 was calculated.
Please include this in your final bond submittal.
4. Is the bond amount set for 500,000 or 100,000 tons at the
loadout?
6. Portal sealing is estimated by Means at $9.61/sq ft for
installation of the concrete blocks. Therefore, this item
needs to be re-estimated also.
7. The loadout calculations need to be based on what is
currently committed to in the permit, ACZ estimate is short.
Refer to the memo dated August 6, 1993 for details.
8. Page 15, mobilization costs need to include fuel and Tube
trucks or a pilot car, with the addition of the cost of a
tractor trailer combination adjustment from $108/hr vs
$64.30/hr.
9.
